Business ideas for bio-based raw materials, sustainable supply chains, and a software solution for sustainable consumption and mobility were presented with the StartGreen Award by Parliamentary State Secretary Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter yesterday evening.

Schwarzelühr-Sutter: “The challenges of our time, such as digitalization, climate change and the desire to keep the planet livable for future generations are driving people. It is clear that new solutions off the beaten track are needed. That is why I would like to thank the many applicants. It is their wealth of ideas, their imagination and their entrepreneurial courage that provide the opportunity for economic, ecological and social progress.”

In the Startup Business Concept Category, the award went to Hamburg-based startup, Lignopure, which develops sustainable products made with the bio-based raw material lignin.
