After judging by sustainability experts, voting by the community and a final pitch to the StartGreen jury, the winners of the StartGreen Award 2019 were chosen. Four projects were selected as finalists in the categories of Founding Concept, Startup, Future Mobility – powered by InnoEnergy, and SDG 12: Circular Economy – powered by SDG INVESTMENTS.
Lignopure – Winner in the Business Concept category
Plastic-free products based on the raw material lignin
Hamburg-based Lignopure develops sustainable products based on the bio-based raw material lignin. This can be used, for example, in 3D printing and injection molding, in insulating materials and adhesive tapes, but also in cosmetic formulations and food products. In addition to developing specific use cases, Lignopure is conducting feasibility studies as well as distributing and processing lignins.
